Favorite Restaurant: Tres Potrillos Taqueria | That's right folks, that's Unagi you see to the left. If you've never had it, go to your favorite sushi spot & try some freshly prepared Unagi with a cold Kirin and you'll think you've died and gone to heaven!
What can I say, I hate to eat lunch at my desk. Thanks to JATBAR I've had a lot of spots to check out! My personal goal is finding cheap places with good food and healthy portions (OK, so I'm not alone in this).
My favorite cuisines are Thai, Indian, Japanese, Mexican & Mediterranean. I don't do sandwiches, though now and then I crave a good burger. Geographic focus is on Sunnyvale and Mtn View with the odd visit to Palo Alto and Santa Clara.
I don't rate on just food. I rate the whole experience. If there is any pain in the butt factor involved (poor parking, long wait, etc.) then the place loses points, no matter how awesome the food may be.
Contrary to Jatbar convention I like to visit a restaurant at least twice before writing a review, and then I average my experiences. |

I do love to cook, but I need a break once in a while. Hallalujah Jatbar! When in the kitchen, my specialties are Mediterranean, Italian, Thai and scratch cooking like *open the fridge and make something from whats on hand* I may consider patenting my Lasagna...
I also like to experiment with baking in the dutch oven on camping trips. If you happen upon the scent of fresh cinnamon rolls and quiche while camping, stop in! What did YOU have for breakfast? Some people don't eat this well at home. It's obvious - I'm a foodie through and through.

Favorite Restaurant: Lucys Tea House (Closed) | After numerous rewrites, Im here to present Profile Version 6.0 for Julie. The previous 5 versions had typos and grammatical errors. She is like this spellchecker that doesnt let up. If I make any msiatkes, she will be the first person to take notice. So if you see any typos on the site, go bug Julie, shes not doing her job.
jatbar 2.0 wouldnt be much without Julie. It was her honest feedback on what the user should expect and ease of navigation. Terry and I thank you for this.

A few things that might be informative when reading my reviews:
I really like sauces and dips
I don't like food that is very plain and flavorless such as bread, or rice (so if I say I really like said items, it is probably very very good, woo hoo)
I'm picky about my meat, I can't swallow meat that is well done, stringy, overcooked, old.
I am picky about my sushi
I have really bad allergies and I can't breathe through my nose.
I am hard to impress and I think most food is either horrible, not great, okay, good, or superduperbestinthewholeentireworld |

Favorite Restaurant: Hotaru | This mofo is chipping away at our patience. Day after day..when is this going to be ready? When do the agents get this? How come we cant...blah blah blah? Omg...its wearing Terry and I down. We usually just give in so we dont have to hear him complain.
If it wasnt for all his complaining though, quality of the site would be a couple of notches down. Thanks.
Interesting Note: You can tell if he really likes food, he will usually overeat to the point of being sick. I have witnessed this twice (Mortons and Fish Tacos). He almost gave birth on the way home.

Favorite Restaurant: Taqueria Los Charros | Specializing in cheapo hole-in-the-wall ethnic food joints. Life ambition to try every dive taqueria in the Bay Area at least once.
Nearly bottomless stomach - can easily out eat bigger 'food-letes' just ask Jason or Terry.

Gastronomical Goals:
- FroYo a-go-go: try yogurtland, tartini, red mango, DIY, and froyo? all in one afternoon run.

Favorite Restaurant: Kabab and Currys | My personal favorite kinds of sushi are anything that involves salmon (I love the fatty taste) and eel. Anything deep-fried is up my alley. Favorite Restaurant: Zacharys Pizza | Where can I start with this veggie-head? Ive known Brandon for some years now and he is one of the slowest eaters on this planet. Favorite Restaurant: Gyros House | Another agent who is mysterious to jatbar. The 1 thing that comes to mind is her Insane Menu memory - I dont know if she was bored as hell at work or it was a friday or was just trying to look busy behind the computer, but she proceeded to recite/write the longest email to jatbar about China Palace in Milpitas. She must have listed 20 or so menu items with short descriptions on each of the items.
Late night restaurants seem to favor this agent. |

Favorite Restaurant: Spice Islands Cafe | Born in California, Miriam grew up in Asia (Singapore/Seoul, Korea) eating the unbelievably cheap and knee-shakingly good food of local hawker stalls and the primly decadent food of upscale restaurants. She's also half black and half Filipina, giving her a flavor for both American food and the tart/sour/woah flavors of Asia.
She's perpetually on the hunt for the best service, quality, plate intrigue, and food-gasms she can find, and loves most food genres (excepting *spicy,* which even then she'll sometimes eat).
In particular, Miriam hunts for authentic Southeast Asian food (char siu pao, chicken satay, filipino food, etc.) and the absolute bestest desserts she can find. |
