Nutrition House - in the mccarthy ranch plaza, to the left of hot pot city.

medium sized, northern style chinese food. lots of sizzling platters, decent quality, massiver servings and more then fair pricing.

i wanted the pork chop rice from tinan taste today and to my surprise they closed up shop (my business partner said they left long ago, i'm just oblivious), so he suggested nutrition house instead. we haven't been back because the last time we were here we got charged $12 for chinese broccoli, and a half order at that. we argued, but long story it wasn't worth it.

because i was in a hurry and literally starving we came here as service is pretty fast and they give huge portions. we ordered the mao pao tofu and the mongolian beef (both $5.95) it more then fed the both of us and our total bill was $15 or so.

mongolian beef was nothing special, i was rushed so i just picked something...stir fried beef with onions and whole chilis.

mao pao tofu wasn't to my liking, it tasted funny i coudlnt' place it. the tofu wasn't fresh but a bit too firm to my liking. it was the pork or 'mystery meat' they used that really got to me. i wasn't sure what i was eating...didn't really like that. but i'm living and writing this so couldnt' of been too bad.

service improved, but there were less people there as well. if you go at lunch make sure you get the lunch menu as well. many lunch combos for $4.95 and more food then you can shake a stick at. we weren't even offered it, only found out afterwards.

McCarthy Ranch is the American side with Best Buy. Hot Pot City is in the Ranch 99 plaza. Not sure if that's what you actually meant since the two plaza's are separated by 880.

Not sure why you gave this place an 8 since it sounded like you didn't really like the taste of the food and were not offered the discounted lunch prices. Living to talk about it doesn't sound too good. ;)

lol...

you're correct the ranch 99 plaza.

less then stellar service, unfair representation and pricing depending on how you look like, and the crowded dining room is one thing.

however i can't deny the bang for the buck factor of this place, and the food is above par for what they charge.
