After eating at Chicken Chicken, we wanted to get some dessert so we made a visit to Copenhagen Bakery and Cafe. This is my first visit but everytime Ive driven by, this place is usually packed. Copenhagen quadruples as a bakery, cafe, ice cream parlor, and restaurant. We were only able to do the bakery portion so the score will only reflect the pastries we ate.

Atmosphere has a comfortable feel to it and the service is commendable. Just browsing the menus, the dinner menu offers some interesting european dishes worth making a return visit for. The hours of service are kinda confusing, go visit the web site for more information.

Ill be honest, if the pastry is sweet, takes fresh, has a smooth buttery taste to it, I'll like it. Copenhagens does that and also provides a wide selection of goodies to choose from. For an early morning breakfast to a post dinner coffee, enjoy the european cuisine and flair at Copenhagens Bakery and Cafe.

RETURN VISIT for Jason! 8/12/2005 - 8.5 Rating: Had dessert tonight after dinner and was quite impressed with the pastries. I had an almond bar and tried the raspberry apricot pastry. Both pastries werent overly sweet and tasted like they were made that day. I think they might have been closing for the night, the lady gave 3 loaves of sourdough bread away for free. A little bread and cheese will make an excellent breakfast.

The pastries were good and so are their fruit smoothies. YUM! Their breakfast/brunch items and sandwiches are pretty good too.

However, I think it's slightly overpriced for this kind of a place. It's a very casual seat yourself kinda cafe and I would only recommend it if you were meeting someone there for coffee or dessert. There are lots of other restaurants in the area that serve food just as good at more reasonable prices. And it gets very crowded on the weekends for lunch and breakfast.

Veggie Omelet and Cup of Dark Choc. Truffle Coffee

Awesome combo. I am an avid coffee drinker and this Dark Chocolate Truffle has to be the best. I take my coffee black but even people who dilute their coffee can stand this pure treat.
