Thanks to Gavin for submitting Gabriel and Daniel's Mexican Grill in Burlingame. There is no way I would have found this spot. This restaurant is completely low-key and I couldn't find directions or listing in any of the 3 major search engines. From what I am told, this restaurant appears to be a favorite with pilots and stewardesses around the world. SFO is 1 exit up and there are plenty of surrounding hotels nearby. For directions, google maps has it off by 1-2 blocks. If you are coming north on 101, exit Anza and take the 1st driveway left after the bridge. From south 101, take broadway bayshore to airport blvd and a right on Anza. It's the driveway before the bridge.

Gabriel and Daniel's Mexican Grill isn't exactly a sitdown restaurant but a snack bar in the Burlingame Golf Center. Don't worry, it's more than bags of chips and candy bars, they have sandwiches, burgers, smoothies, but the real draw is the restaurant quality mexican food. I arrived after work around 7'ish and ordered a carne asada burrito and drink totaling ~9 bucks. The friendly lady behind the counter who I assume is Daniel handed me free chips and red salsa.

The chips tasted like bagged chips but the salsa a different story. Definitely made on the premises and had searing heat to it. Tomato puree based with a mix of peppers (seranos? jalepenos?). Loved it. (picture #6)

Burrito took a little longer to deliver but they make it fresh to order. From a distance I could see Gabriel place thin slices of steak on the grill. After the meat was cooked, chopped it up and placed the fresh ingredients into a flour tortilla. He forms the burrito more into a rectangular shape by flattening 2 sides out. Places the burrito back on the flat grill and re-grills until the tortilla is semi-crisp.

The plating of the burrito is beautiful (picture #7 and 8). This isn't your typical snack bar type of food or taqueria foil wrapped pipe. For $7.50, you can't find a more gourmet looking burrito. So how did it taste?

meat - From what I could taste, very good carne asada, high quality meat. I think the problem was the abundance of beans, it dominated the other ingredients.

beans - plenty of it, bean lovers will enjoy, refried, great stuff but too many beans for me. Mixed in with the beans was overjoying amount of cheese. gooey and stringy, addicting combo.

guacamole - towards the bottom and it was a slice or two.

tortilla - I was reluctant on the whole grilling to near crisp on both sides as it reminded me of those stuffed burritos at Taco Bell but it was notably enjoyable. It will probably be easier to you to eat using knife and fork as the tomatilla and red sauce garnish provides a delicous mix with tortilla.

Gabriel and Daniel's Mexican Grill serves authentic tasting mexican food. Portion size was more than adequate and prices are much cheaper than sit down mexican restaurants. A burrito like this would cost $12-15 in some restaurants, it's a great deal. Bring your clubs down, hit a couple of balls, and eat some tasty mexican food. I think they serve food until 8PM but you can always give them a call.
