Ive always driven by this corner taqueria joint wondering if it was any good. I dont think Burlingame is known for taqueria joints like San Mateo. San Mateo is a goldmine for mexican food. If you read my other reviews, you probably know what Im going to order...a regular carnitas burrito with refried beans and rice. Burrito prices are average price running at $5 and snapples at $1.59. I should have paid more attention to the trays of food behind the glass. I would have noticed the stewed carnitas....greeaatt....its not even going to be crunchy...this is not looking good. Lady hands my meal and I get to work. The burrito was wet and the roll was falling apart. I couldnt even pick it up and had to use a knife and fork. I was not liking this...it was suppose to be a dry burrito but tasted like a wet one. Carnitas was a pork stew..not a fan of that. Beans were flavorless and rice was soggy. Salsa was comparable to a tomato puree but the chips were good. I dont think I will be making a return visit to Lobos Taqueria anytime soon, I can think of 5 other places Id rather go within a 2 mile drive.
