I'm going to point the blame to Sean for dragging me out to Slice. We literally just got down eating an amazing meal at Twist Cafe and walked across the street to Slice for a pizza. I don't know how we channeled the inner chi to devour lunch #2. Two ladies who were sitting next to us at Twist Cafe recognized us on there way out. Sean and I were sitting on the patio at Slice. They were probably wondering what the hell we were doing eating another meal. I for one, admit I have a problem. Sean won't admit he has a problem yet.

Slice is hip pizza joint with tasteful artwork and modern furniture. Stereo was pumping the soccer game on the uber sized plasma. I'm told the owner of Cardiff Lounge next door opened up Slice to cater to the late night bar crowd (Sun-Wed until 11PM, Thu-Sat until 2AM). Pretty clever business idea.

Sean ordered a pepperoni slice which apparently is half of a small/personal pizza. I went for the Slice combination pizza; toppings list goes here and it's a lot, just take a look at pictures 5 and 6.

I couldn't see the entire oven but it appears to be a brick oven pizza. I'm guessing it's powered by wood logs? I have one of these at my work's cafeteria but our pizza doesn't come out anywhere near this good. It's a thin crust pizza with the bottom properly cracking with each fold. The crust was cooked almost perfectly with a little floppiness towards the center (possibly due to many toppings). Slightly mild that wasn't too sweet and had a tang to it. Toppings were all fresh with plenty of meat in each bite.

The pizza is good but more expensive than your typical slice pizza lunch. Slice uses good ingredients but I think their sauce falls a bit short of the wow factor. Let it be noted my pizza had 6+ toppings which is 3 more than I would normally like to have. My fault.

What is up with the cucumber in the water? It's completely disgusting. What happened to the friendly lemon that removes all traces of water imperfections? Campbell used to be filled with lemon orchards, bring back the yellow fruit.

The pizza falls somewhere in the 7.5-8 range and will bump to the 8 for staying open late. If I had to pick between Slice and La Pizzeria down the street, I'd choose La Pizzeria 7 out of 10 times. The other 3 belong to Slice since they offer slices and a monster plasma screen.

only because it's super close. (la pizzeria has TV's but skew European so watch soccer and auto racing, but eat better pie. i love those guys.) slice is too ultra lounge.
