I've made 2 visits to Beard Papa since they opened and finally took pictures. Taste like the other 2 Beard Papa locations. The Redwood City location is closer to my house, the San Francisco is a pain in the ass to visit if you don't live in the area, and Cupertino has easy parking and close to my work.

Their cream puffs has the signature flakey crust with a cream whipped filling. The cream isn't overly sweet. I've had the green tea, vanilla, and chocolate with green tea being my favorite. Each puff rings in near $2 a piece.

If you have self-control, just order one. If you're like everyone else, you order the 6 pack.

Hard to go wrong with Beard Papa's. Nothing out of the ordinary here, as compared to the other BP locations I have visited. Solid cream puffs, rich and flavorful - a bit flaky on the outside. Dusted powdered sugary goodness.

This time I did go for the eclaire version that has the thick chocolate (magic shell-like) coating on the outside. Quite good, and I would definitely go for that again. choc tasted fresh and had a nice snap to it as I bit into it. Gave the dessert a fully flavor (I ordered the vanilla filling).

Easy return visit.

I came here the week after they opened. They only had vanilla bean as the choice. For every 6 pack order they gave out a beard papa key chain.

Good stuff but for some reason I found that they don’t put in as much cream filling as the RWC location and they sprinkle less power sugar on the pastry shell. Plus I did not see anyone weighing the puffs after inserting the cream, which should be the standard from what I’ve seen at other locations.

Over all good stuff and I’m glad it’s finally close to where I live. Just hope they start churning out special flavors soon.

Parking is much easier at this location. Great place to stop by for a snack or after dinner sweets.

Don't know what else there is to say about these magical cream puffs. They're good boxed up, and incredible when fresh.

One advantage about Cupertino, is the lack of lines everytime I've gone.

Beard Papa's in Japan.

After reading this and some others, I just wanted to say that this chain is not considered to be in the upper tier of such in Japan. There seems to be store variation on the amount of filling and baking time of the "chou" crust here in Japa
