As I was taking a picture of the Canton Delights sign I almost stepped on 2 duck. Yes a duck! The appeared to be mallards as the male was sporting the green head while the female dressed in brown and white. Im not saying these escaped from the kitchen but there were 2 roaming around on the front lawn. I havent been this close to a duck since the zoo. Enough of my National Geographic experience.

Canton Delight was very clean and people were waiting on hand and foot. Service was good maybe a bit too good. We went there for dim sum and at first I saw 1 cart rolling around, 10 minutes later, they had about 4 carts racing around.

We were tame with the ordering and got 5 or so items ranging from shrimp to shrimp and more shrimp. I know its not a big variety but what can we say, we love shrimp. I dont know all the names of all the dim sum items but only 1 of them did fair well with my taste buds (picture 5)

Overall I liked Canton Delights, their menu is quite large and dim sum was more than respectable. Its very close to work and prices were about right, making a return trip is pretty much a no-brainer. Say hi to the ducks if they are sunning on the front lawn.

Canton Delights was a great find as it was nearly walking distance to the office and Dim Sum lunch. The place had a decent amount of people there for a Monday which was encouraging. We get in there and sit down and are quickly attended to. Maybe I am spoiled by Mings on the Peninsula but I found the selection here to be rather weak and uninspiring. The same few dishes kept coming around. I did manage to find 3 things fairly quickly, all shrimp items. They tasted fairly good but again nothing completely exciting. I kind of lost interest in the place after those 3 items so we decided to make our escape.

I will probably return since its so close to work, and maybe next time I'll order something off the menu instead. If anyone has any recommendations I'd be happy to try them out, but for now I found it tasty but not impressive.

This place is great for local dim sum. We reguarly have dim sum lunches at this joint. The service/staff are more then helpful, the dim sum selection is plentiful and well prepared. You can also order them ahead of time instead of depending on the little karts. White table cloths, and I've never seen a stain. Clean stemware and spotless utensils is a big plus. The other advantage Canton Delights has to other dim sum joints is that they are English friendly, not everyone in my circle of friends is fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin(I'm actually not either), but they are not pretentious at all. They're just happy to fill your appitites.
