Odd mixture of Vietnamese and Middle Eastern dining.

My photo gallery 		I seemed to have caught Langs in a transition period. The previous Vietnamese/Cafe/Girly feel to the place is slowly morphing into a Middle Eastern restaurant. Yeah, you read that right. The new owner is adding Middle Eastern items to the menu to accompany the vietnamese sandwiches. Should be an interesting, if eclectic mix.

On this visit I tried 2 vietnamese sandwiches, the egg salad and the vegetarian (which he put a Middle Eastern eggplant into). An odd sandwich indeed. The egg salad was about average, nothing special. I probably would not return here, but he did mention a new menu in a few weeks, so I am actually quite eager to return and see where this restaurant stands when the new menu (successfully?) melds the vietnamese and middle eastern items in it.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt and will be back in a month or two to see how things pan out, and report back.

“This place is now Sorrento Deli. I tried a veggie sandwich. Good stuff. I will add it officially on my next visit. Service was excruciatingly slow and its hot as heck in there, but the food is solid.”
