Cinco de Mayo today and to show my appreciation for the mexicans who fended off the French at Puebla, I ordered a red white and blue sprinkled donut at Manley Donut Shop, also known as a freedom donut. What does this have to do with defeating an overwhelming army? Absolutely nothing....damm the french.

Anyways, the donut I ate in 1 minute was about your average donut. Meaning a deep fried dough ring with sweet vanilla icing on top of it that made my stomach happy. Manley Donuts probably produce the fresh batch in the early morning and these lucky people get to close shop by 2PM. Ahhh..the joys of working in a donut shop.

Theres not much to say except they serve good donuts, coffee, and bagels. Now that I look back, we should have gotten cinco donuts today. Vive Manley Donut Shops!

Coming back from a filling meal of Mexican food, we stopped by Manley's Donut Shop for a quick dessert. We were happy to find them still open (they are open til 2pm every day). I opted for a Glazed twist. It tasted nothing out of the ordinary, which is not bad for a donut shop. If you go here in the morning when they are fresh you will not be disappointed.
