I've been going to Pizza My Heart for some time now. It's always been consistent thin slice pizza for reasonable prices. I've been to San Mateo, Palo Alto, and San Jose location and never had a bad visit. The theme of the restaurant is fun and decked out with surf decorations.

I normally get the combo which is a slice of pizza with a pre-made salad for I think $8. Don't be annoyed if you see your slice pre-made. Those pizzas behind the glass have fast turnaround times and reheated. I have NEVER had to send a slice back because it didn't taste fresh. Today I tried the Pesto.

crust - very very thin crust, doesn't hold firm when you hold it up, some might call it New York but I think NY style has an entirely different tasting crust. Not much bubbling to crust. Bread taste fresh.

sause - green pesto sauce, don't be alarmed with the oil, it's entirely normal for pesto to be oozing with green oil. Just pad it with napkin and everything will be ok. Pesto sauce tastes fine.

cheese - not overwhelming amount of cheese, wasn't gooey and stringy. Good cheese.

The slices are super thin and eating 1 slice might put a tiny dent on a big appetite. Go for 2 slices if you're hungry, other than that, salad + slice combo is a comfortable meal. I always enjoy eating at Pizza My Heart.

Its within walking distance of my work, so how can I NOT review this place. Lately I have been on a walking kick, trying to get some exercise and burn off the Jatbar calories. I half-remember visiting other locations and knew that it was a solid place. And while I argue with Jason a bit (Jason seems to like this place more than I do) I find it hard to really disagree with his 8 rating. Its a solid slice, as far as slices go. I have a small issue with the high price ($3 for a slice of cheese!) and its super thin - but its good stuff. I think it will do well here, so close to Apple and DeAnza College.

Today I got the slice fresh out of the oven. It was piping hot and the cheese was a bit runny (as was the grease, unfortunately), but the crust is good stuff. Cracking in the middle without crumbling, and the crust end being a tad bit doughy within. A hint of burnt flavoring to the crust was good. I still think that A Slice of New York will take the prize if I have a longer lunch hour, but for ease of slice, this place is hard for me to beat.

As a bonus, its worth walking the block up the street to the Yogurt shop for dessert.

I totally HEART this place. Been a fan since my first taste in Palo Alto, then Downtown San Jose, then Capitola, then Saratoga, then @ Mavericks and now Cupertino!

Ginormous slices, surfbum prices, and their PESTO.

My only recommendation is to hire non-pothead workers - the overuse of "duhhhh" "ummm" and snippits such as "...i bet they were blunted." "so did you guys get high..." as well as sh*t talking about customers "i bet she was stoned." "that customer was so unreasonable." and the like were totally uncalled for and very unprofessional...then again it's not exactly a power lunch joint. Carry on, I'll see you on a weekly or bi-weekly basis...feel free to talk about my shoes.
