I used to live in Foster City a couple of years back and the closest taqueria to my old house was Taqueria De Amigos. I was too lazy to drive to B street so this was the next best thing. I don't recall it being a powerhouse for burritos or tacos but things can change.

I arrived for later dinner and ordered 3 tacos; carnitas, carne asada, and pollo asado. There are free chips and salsa to the right of the counter. Chips sit under and heat lamp while the salsa chills on the ice cooler. Chips taste average and salsa was good stuff.

The prices for my tacos were $1.65'ish with the total ringing in at $6.01. Looking at the other tables in the area, burritos and nachos appear to be the thing to get. The restaurant is kept clean with tables cleaned immediately after a customer departs.

Within a short time, the lady calls my number and delivers my 3 tacos. All tacos come with the usual suspects; cilantro, chopped onions, salsa, and dueling corn tortillas.

I started off with my favorite meat, carnitas (image 7). Nice chunks of grilled pork with a tangy salsa verde. Not too crunchy or salty, respectable flavor, I would reorder again.

Pollo Asado (image 5) was a bit dry. I could have sworn I just saw the guy put a fresh batch on the grill. Although the chicken was orange in color, it lacked the citrus and chile taste. I was disappointed with the bland tasting chicken.

Carne Asada (image image 6) was cooked on a flat grill. No char marks and the pieces were cut smaller than I like. Seasoned with probably just salt and pepper, it actually tasted much better than it looked.

Overall, Taqueria De Amigos gets the job done. For the people who live in Foster City, I'm sure you're thinking my 7 is low. I would say, maybe it's because I frequent B Street or the Burrito Triangle.
