We arrive at Dina's early on a Sunday morning and its pretty empty. I have seen lines out the door later in the morning, so we hit it early. The place is a bit tiny and not necessarily cramped, but homey. You can definitely feel the vibe here. Its more like a Mission Pine (now closed) than a Country Way. I scan the menu and am pretty impressed with the selection of omelettes and other breakfast items. Dina's proudly proclaims that everything is made in-house except for the bread - things are looking good.

The place itself is clean and definitely frequented by a cast of regulars.

I go for the Monterey omelette which consists of eggs, shrimp, artichokes and olives. As a side I go with the wheat bread. The meal takes a little bit of time to arrive but not overly so. It arrives and things look promising. Serving size is decent - not Country Way but still quite ample. The Hash Browns are very tasty, the wheat bread just so-so. The omelette is fantastic. Until I bit into an olive. I can eat olives in moderation, not when the entire thing is comprised of olives. If it had half the olives i could have survived, but I only ate about half the omelette as the olives were just overwhelming. Everything else about it, however, was very tasty. The grease level was not as bad as Country Way.

I sampled my wife's banana waffle. It was also very fresh and tasty. Just like home-made. I look forward to returning to Dina's and sampling another omelette, and hoping to bump up the score another half point.
