Fiesta Taco was on my personal todo list for quite a few months. Today while on the way to Newpark Mall, I figured this would make a good stop before having to cope with mall food.

The place looked clean from my first impression, tho quite small. Only a few tables inside. I think its probably best to order and take out. I chose to sit inside and it was quite a cozy experience.

I ordered the veggie burrito, wet. It was prepared quickly and brought out. Immediately it looked satisfactory. Huge, indeed. The sauce, however, looked different than normal wet burritos. Instead of either green or red sauce, it was covered in a kind of enchilada sauce - so it was thicker and more orange in color.

The sour cream and guacamole was served on the side. The tortilla was pretty average. The rice and beans were moist and flavorful. They reminded me a bit of the ones you can get at Las Casitas in Fremont. I finished it off quickly. It was very solid, just not exciting or groundbreaking for me. The sauce, while flavorful with a hint of spiciness, was not what I was used to experiencing on a wet burrito.

I sampled my sons cheese quesadilla. It was pretty solid. A bit greasy but not overly so.

Fiesta Taco is a solid pick. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time. If I am in the area, I would not hesitate to stop by for some homestyle taqueria flavor.
