I need to apologize for the horrible pictures at Ho Chow Restaurant, its extremely hard to produce pictures in a low light setting and I hate using a flash. The pictures did not do the food justice. Ho Chow is upper scale chinese restaurant and were a bit leary upon entering in our causual clothes.

Its always fun to go with a group of people to chinese food as you will get to try the various dishes. Tonight we ordered; chicken fried rice, seafoods delight, sesame chicken, beef noodles, and spicey scallop dish. On a whole, the seafood was extrememly fresh and shrimps/scallops were HUGE. I would go back based on that alone. Sesame chicken was crispy, rice was rice, and beef with noodles had tender beef.

Just some suggestions for Ho Chow;
- Restaurant looks like every other american restaurant out there. What about using Chinese decor? plates? artwork? dragon statues?

- Serve almond cookies, its rare to see Chinese restaurants serving that anymore

- Lighten up the restaurant. It was like the bat cave in there.

Although pricey and cooked american/chinese style, Ho Chow restaurant is the answer to my chinise food dreams. I've been looking for good chinese food for quite some time now and had just about given up. Ho Chow comes squeeks by with a 9.

We got here pretty late at night so the place wasn't crowded at all. This meant fairly quick delivery of our food as well. The interior was rather nice. Looks like the place is fairly new. There is a big bar section and a dining section that is at least twice as large. Yeah, this place is big.

First perusal of the menu convinced me that this place might be good. The prices were high and there was a large selection. Our group ordered family style so got about 4 or 5 dishes and shared. I personally ordered the Seafood Delight.

The food delivery as I mentioned, was quick. The water refill was not very quick. Water tasted good however, with a lemon. The tea was just ok.

When the food arrived, we dug right in (after the obligatory photos). The seafood delight consisted of a mixture of various seafoods (fish of some kind, scallops, LARGE shrimp) and a few vegetables like mushrooms. It was quite delicious. Among the best seafood I've had at a chinese restaurant. The scallops and shrimp were VERY well cooked, quite soft and flavorful.

The dish to get though is the Ruby Jade Scallops. Oh man, this thing rocked. Its like China Chilis in the early 90s. Again the scallops would melt in your mouth and the spiciness was high, but not detracting of the flavor at all. It came with snappy Brocolli. Wow, this dish especially impressed me.

I will be going back, but not often as the price was a bit high. The place, however, is worth it for special occasions.

Went there for lunch on a day off with two kids, age 3 and 5. Ordered two items, totaled about $25-$30. Waitress said I needed to order one more item. Minimum one dish per person. I got up and left. Wasted my time stopping in.
