Fleur de Cocoa is home of my favorite cake, Satin Cake. I don't know why it took forever to review this bakery. I've known of this place for some time and a number of my coworkers would bring these absolutely amazing cakes to share. I've tried them about 4 times and been satisfied 4 times.

The Satin Cake is a cake I would place on my jatbar Hall of Fame list. Yeah, it's that outstanding. The cake is built upon these spongy ladyfingers and filled with an airy white chocolate mousse topped off with a fluffy sweet meringue. One of my favorite parts are the picture perfect raspberries sitting on top of the delicate mousses and meringue. Try not to think about the killer calories as you savour each bite. Slightly chilled and a wonderful combination of the tart raspberries and sweet fluffy cream.

If I ever hit the lottery, I would ask Fleur de Cocoa to make me a 6 foot version of the satin cake. We could place the cake in a walk in fridge and I would wear a heated suit to battle Hypothermia during my naps. I'd lie down on top of this giant cake and start eating. Bite after bite until I get sleepy. Take a short nap in my special heated suit. Wake up, continue eating again until sleepy. Repeat until done. It would probably take me a week to finish? I'm guessing a 6 foot cake would cost $12,000. Creepy? maybe? Crazy? of course. Start sending in those donations to make my dream come true!

Disregard the previous paragraph, I got lost in my fantasy of having a bed made from a satin cake.

Take one walk into Fleur de Cocoa and you'll see the stunning display case of beautiful works of edible art. The pastry chefs are talented individuals bringing eye catching and mouth watering sweets.

Chocolate wedding cake

The owner/chef is a pastry chef from Paris. So uptight he makes his own chocolate bars. His wife is nice and handles catering. They made our wedding cake. It was super, ultra tasty and no more expensive than the other places. Best money we spent.

Obviously, the pastries are heavenly. Go for a café meal and discover how good a healthy, right-size meal can be. You will find room for a pastry and leave smiling.
