Since I consider myself somewhat of a burger/hot dog connoisseur, I had to investigate. I planned the following visit the next day and arrived for a late lunch at 3ish. For a saturday when people have the day off, the restaurant was empty. Sigh....I always feel ackward going into a restaurant when no other customers are around. Makes me wonder why no one else is here to enjoy the food? jatbar trailblazes, I order the frankfurter and fries. I have no idea which frankfurter I ordered since the menu contains 2 entries for frankfurkers. I probably ended up with the german style instead of the NY Kosher. Looks like I need to make a return visit to be sure. dog - they should rename it the girthy dog, and they said length was everything. cooked on a steel grill, could have been cooked longer as the center wasnt piping hot. burnt flavor on casing is always a good thing. didnt have the snap but the meat was good quality. You cant get this stuff at the markets, you have to go to a real meat market. I topped it with spicy mustard and onions. For $3, the meat is equivalent to about 1 1/2 regular hot dogs. bun - sesame french roll, too long for the dog. these dogs are super short leaving about 1 inch on both sides. There will be 2 bites with no meat, kinda annoying but Im just a OCD freak fries - fried to order, frozen kind but still good to me. 1 frankfurter wont get you full, go for 2 and it might do the job. Famous Frankfurter deserves another visit so I can determine if I had the German or NY Kosher frankfurter. Until then, this place comes in easily with an 8.
