Sushi King for a late lunch? After yesterdays experience with Takko Sushi I thought it would be weeks before I could attempt to try another sushi place. I had stopped at the Best Buy at McCarthy Ranch and noticed Sushi King. I hadnt eaten lunch yet and the thought of Taco Bell or McDonalds was not appealing.

Sushi boat with lunch specials, theres a possibility I can squeeze by on less than $20 for lunch....hmmmm. I sat down and immediately picked up a CA roll and ordered Yellowtail. CA rolls were ok, it was 2:30 and guessing this roll has been circling the boat for an hour or so. Oh well...at least the yellowtail was good. Had a hint of lime or lemon to it with no fishy taste. Too bad it didnt have any wasabe underneath the fish. Wasabe was weak, very watery and have gotten better stuff at the market(usually in the asian section and looks like green toothpaste). Its very crucial that I participate in the teary eyed-clear nasal passage ritual. I like it spicey....

Last but not least was my Spider Roll. $5.95 gets you a medium size roll with pieces that fit in your mouth. In the past, I've had Spider Roll pieces that were the size of ding dongs. The soft shell crab was delicious and still warm upon eating it.

Sushi King serves decent sushi at moderate prices. The sushi menu is average and didnt see that many specialty dishes. If I was in the area again and craving sushi, I would have no problems going back.

Total cost of meal was $13.24 + $2.76 Tip = $16.
