No ideas about this place going in. We happened to be at the complex (lets see if Jason will fess up lol) and could smell the goods, so we sauntered over to check it out. The place was PACKED especially for such a tucked away location at the corner of the complex. The place was kinda run down looking and a bit stuffy. We were shown a table in the back and the whole time I just felt uncomfortable sitting there. Maybe it was the walls or floors - it just felt so claustrophobic. They need some carpeting to capture some of the sounds or something.

Anyway, the service was enjoyable and prompt. The menu was kind of small, but we had no troubles choosing, we both got the thalis. I opted for the more expensive one - the Behl for $8.50.

The Behl was definitely worth it! A wonderful flavoring that we were unable to decipher. Fruit? Salsa? Very tasty regardless. The rest of the thali was good stuff, everything solid. The only complaint we have is that they don't supply enough rice and/or naan to soak up all the sauces. We were both left with extra sauces that we were unable to mix with the rice/naan. Sigh. Otherwise, it all was very good. Easy return destination.

bhel puri pani puri and thali

very good authentic tasting chaat. the sauces are twofold. a tamarind based brownish red sauce (sweet) and a mint/chilli sauce (green and spicy) mixed together in perfect proportion to create a taste sensation, Dewfinitely not related to salsa. yummy
