For the people who work off shoreline, east of 101, you're probably familiar with the sandwiches at The Country Deli. Serving sandwiches out of a converted office suite, you wouldnt know they served unless you saw the long lunch line during the afternoon rush.

I've been frequenting The Country Deli know ever since I started working out here nearly 3 1/2 years ago. My usual and favorite order is the California Club on wheat. I have no recommendations to make the sandwich better; crispy bacon, thin sliced turkey, light mayo, fresh lettuce and tomatos. I can expect my sandwich to taste the same everytime I order it and thats why Im a happy return customer. I have ventured out, ordered other sandwiches but my stomach and heart is forever with the California Club.

Country Deli serves solid sandwiches at reasonable prices. If you want a good club sandwich in the bay area, now you know where to get one.

I have never been a big fan of this place. A lot of people I know enjoy this place (most notably for the Club Sandwich). I have never ordered this, I usually get the Falafel sandwich, the Eggplant Sandiwch, and today the Egg Salad sandwich. The first two I mentioned didn't appeal to me at all. The Egg Salad was OK, but nothing more exciting than, say, Togos Egg salad sandwich. So if you're looking for a unique fun sandwich place, this wouldn't be it for me. I would prefer to hang out at Roger's or even Subway before I went here again.

I really like the Country Deli. The first thing you notice when you walk in is that the restaurant is pretty plain. They don’t spend a lot of time trying to make it look fancy. I respect that, as long as the food is good. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and many types of bread Ive tried several different things and liked them all. Everything is really fresh and the guys making the sandwiches are entertaining. At the register, you will be tempted to buy one of their freshly baked cookies. You might think that they couldnt possibly taste as good as they look - so moist and delicious. That is the worst possible thing to think at such a crucial moment as deciding whether or not to get a cookie. Get that cookie! I’ve had the chocolate chip, oatmeal and peanut butter and they’re all wonderful!

This is a great place for lunch. The food is reasonably priced and you won’t get bored with such a wide selection of sandwiches. Also, they have a nice patio area in the front. There is a sizeable lunch rush at this place and the parking lot will fill up. I suggest you go often, but go at off-peak hours.

The Country Deli is a busy place from the 12:00 – 1:00 time. You will find many techies there grabbing a bit to eat or getting a sandwich to go. There is plenty of seating inside and a decent amount of space outdoors if you what to enjoy the sunshine.

Ive been going here for the past 3 years and always I order TheClub. The main reason is because I love it!, and never once got one in didnt like. The thing is big (double decker). You get a lot of turkey and bacon and just the right amount of mayo. My favorite bread to get this on is the marbled rye.

Before I finish this review I have to comment on the desserts they have. The chocolate cake is sinful, and the chocolate cookies are supper tasty. Best thing is its all homemade from scratch. This place deserves my business at least once a month, it gets 8.5

I'm lucky enough to be close enough to this place to grab lunch here on the weekdays. They make the best sandwiches here. Fresh roasted turkey or real bacon? Usually unheard of, but a standard here. You can taste the difference, too! The desserts are also to die for. Skip the lunch rush and get here either before noon or after 12:30. The prices can be a bit steep for a sandwich, though. But if you get your sandwich made on dutch crunch or a sweet or sour roll, it's a big sandwich!

I keep hearing about this place from my coworkers but never been real inclined to go give it a try since I'm not much of a deli person. However since I had no more cash on me and didn't want to eat at our company's cafe, a couple of my foodie buddies decided to take me here.

On first impression, after we drove into the parking lot of the little hidden deli, I thought the set up is kind of similar to Michael's down the street on Shoreline but no menus except for what's on the chalkboard. If you have never been there it might be useful to step away for a bit to read the whole menu first before getting into line as it moves pretty fast.

I was recommended the Chinese or Oriental salad, I forgot what they called it. It was a nice day so I went ahead and ordered it. My coworkers ordered the same salad and the Club. Our food was put together pretty fast with two meals and one club sandwich coming to a total of $20.00. What I thought was pretty cool that they give out Free Ice TEA!! NEAT-O!

I did really enjoy my salad, the mix of lettuces were crisp and fresh, the salad dressing was perfect, not overly anything - balanced and the chicken was nice and moist. The salad also had those crispy chow mein noodles and peanuts so if you're allergic make sure you tell them no nuts! It was a large serving of salad as I had to take some leftovers back. I looked at my coworker's sandwich which did look very good so maybe I'll give that a try next time. I don't think I would mind coming here maybe once every week or other week to change things up.
