Loved the outdoor seating. Service was friendly and fast. Only been one time but wouldn't mind trying the large menu selection. Ordered the kebob combo; 1 chicken and 1 kufta kebob, generous portions of rice, hummus, and salad. Both meats were juicy and cooked to order. Look at the glistening meats in the pictures. The plate is priced at $14.99 which might be a bit steep for a lunch but I feel the quality and flavor is justified.

Thanks to Dan for suggesting this restaurant.

I think I may have found a new favorite Mediterranean lunch spot, and its name is Mediterranean Grill House. The location is good, the interior is attractive and spotless, the service is friendly, the crowds are light, but most of all the food is top notch. And to boot they use halal meat, including organic chicken. I have yet to have a disappointing meal here.

Mediterranean Grill House offers a decent variety on their menu, including the usual falafel, schwarma, and kabobs. As for their Mediterranean plates, they can be customized. For instance, you can choose one of three types of salad (mediterranean, tabouleh, or cucumber-yogurt) plus one of two sides (hummus or baba ghanouj). I'm a sucker for Med salad and hummus, so I chose those every time.

-- Falafel plate: $8.60 after tax. Not a bad price for a little bit of heaven. 6 fresh, large falafel balls, hummus, salad and two small wedges of store-bought pita. The falafel balls were excellent, with a very crunchy shell on the outside and a flavorful and moist interior. The hummus was very good and the salad was fresh and tasty (cucumber, tomatoes & peppers). A very satisfying meal. My only nit was the two small wedges of pita seemed a bit stingy, especially when most other spots give you a basket of the stuff.

-- Mixed lamb/beef schwarma plate: Delicious tender and flavorful meat that even had a nice crispiness to it. Served on a nice bed of rice, with salad, hummus and the same two small pieces of pita. My meal was very satisfying, though I ran out of pita too soon and was wishing I had more.

-- Kufta kabob plate: one large, excellent lamb/beef mixed kabob on a bed of rice, plus my usual sides of mediterranean salad and hummus. I also added a side order of two falafel balls. The kabob was moist and delicious, the rice was excellent, and the falafel balls were just as good as before. Another home run meal.

Mediterranean Grill House belongs near the top of my list, but I hesitate to give it a 9 rating or above. Maybe it's the puzzling pita stinginess, or maybe it's because I've been spoiled by some of the really luxurious, thick pita at other spots (e.g. Golden Falafel Ball or Falafel, etc). Nevertheless, Mediterranean Grill House will be on my regular visit list for a while to come.
