I held off on going here for a long time for reasons I don't want to get into, but I finally got to head over there this weekend for lunch buffet. The place was not too crowded, but it looked like a couple kid birthday parties were starting to ramp up. Waitstaff was attentive, the 40+ buffet trays were piled high, ready for service. They were renovating it, and has signs up apologizing for that, but it didn't look any worse than your standard indian restaurant. Chairs were fancy wooden designs, and the carpet while used-up looking, reduced noise levels in the place and made it more enjoyable.

Plates here are clean and ornate looking. Buffet includes unlimited soda fountain, ice cream, desserts, a TON of veggie items, and a decent selection of meat items.

I grabbed a large swath of the vegetarian items spread over 2 heaping plates. Favorites for me include the Biryani rice, the palak paneer, and the dish consisting of the breaded balls in the orange sauce. Its not often that I see this dish, so the name escapes me right now. But honestly, all of the items I tried were incredibly well done and worthy of repeats at the buffet line.

Naan took awhile to come out. I wasn't eating particularly fast, and I managed to be halfway through my second plate of food before it was brought out. Major bummer to have to wait for that.

I loaded up so much, I just couldn't bring myself to grab desserts afterwards, and had to saunter out precariously under the weight of my expanded gut. If you are in the east bay and looking for a solid indian buffet, you would be hard pressed to find a better one.

Wow. Just Wow. I just got back from Bombay Oven on El Camino (old Pasand location) and I am speechless. This is clearly the BEST indian buffet in town (and that I've ever had the pleasure to dine at). I sampled nearly everything including the rice pudding and the mango yogurt for dessert.

Well presented, flavorful, excellent service, water upon seating and although soda is included in the price they will serve you your first glass. It is truly excellent, and a bargain for your bucks.

I've heard good things about this place and how it's comparable to grand indian off lawerence, but bombay garden is leaps better. I'm definitely coming back, and soon.

The one item that I did not like was the slow freezing yogurt machine and the overpowering mango flavor the yogurt had. The fluorescent tinge i can live with.

9.5/10

I found a some sort of insect that was moving in the restaurant of Bombay Garden. They quickly swiped it away and started yelling. Then they rudley kicked me out without refund. MY freind later told me that he though the quality was terrible. 1/10

The people that work there are really nice. The food is great and the price is reasonable. For $10 you get to try many different dishes. At other places it cost $10 just for one dish.

Mixed online reviews from sites like Yelp and City Search kept making me doubt this place. However, I keep ending up going back. The food is always hot and flavorful. I always leave having a good meal.

Sunday Buffet, Santa Clara location

This is an extremely good vegitarian buffet but with indifferent meat options. Dispite my being by nature carnivorous, this is a place to indulge your inner herbivore. Superd lentil and vegi dishes, but boney and salty meat curries. +1 for fresh nan
