I was in Fremont picking up some speakers and decided to grab some chinese food at Peach Garden. We arrived around 5ish and was happy to see it was a very clean chinese restaurant. They immediately sat us down in the pink environment. Looks like it was a slow day as there were only 4 tables being served at the time.

It was recommended to get the Fried Wontons and lucky for us, we had a coupon for free appetizers. Im not sure where we got it but be sure to check your paper. For the other dishes, we ordered bbq pork fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce, chicken chow mein, and cashew chicken. I know its a bit americanized but we didnt have any Chinese speaking people with us.

Fried Wontons - these are absolutely the largest wontons I have ever had. pretty good stuff.

bbq pork fried rice - about average tasting

shrimp with lobster sauce - this dish I know well cuz I order it almost everytime. Unfortunately, it didnt live up to my expectations. Im not saying I know how to cook it, but it tasted like they opened up a packet of frozen asian vegetables, added some corn starch, threw in a lot of shrimps, some eggs but I think they forgot to add the flavoring. It was extremely bland.

chicken chow mein - hmm...I didnt like this dish at all. The noodles tasted like spaghetti, they were were soft with little texture to them. The chicken was plentiful but didnt taste fresh.

cashew chicken - well the cashews were good. The chicken tasted like the chicken from the chicken chow mein which meant not too fresh tasting. The sauce was very syrupy too, not sure if thats normal, I dont order this dish too often.

I know my review doesnt sound appealing but I have been assured from my friends who have eaten here numerous times that the food was WAY OFF tonight. Even the service was just average. Sure they brought out the food in a short amount of time but it took forever to get water refills. It was an off day for Peach Gargen but judging from this dining expereience, it would be hard for me to make a return visit. I can say the restaurant is very clean and they serve huge portions.
