Hawaiian Walk In Restaurant is interesting for a number of reasons. One is that they don't have real dining. Basically they serve everything in a styrofoam takebox as the idea is that you take it with you but you CAN eat in if you want.

The second thing is that they are definitely on hawaiian time. You place your order and you wait at least 15 minutes for it to be made. Basically its the wife taking the order and husband is cooking it right then and there. So if there are more than 3 tables occupied you will be waiting awhile.

Hows the food? Well it took me a little longer since they messed up my order initially. When I did get my food it consisted of the fried shrimp I ordered, 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. The macaroni salad is really good, the rice is just rice, and the fried shrimp was pretty good. They are HUGE. Unfortunately 1/2 of it is just breaded material though. But it was good, if a bit over greasy.

I also hear that the Loco Moco is pretty good there as well.

If they were a little quicker, and less greasy (but is that avoidable with hawaiian food??) I would rate it higher. As it is, I would return for the shrimp, but not super often.
