Little Lucca Sandwich Shop is a tiny shack that builds gigantic sandwichs that your wallet will be thanking you later. I doubt the normal person can eat an entire sandwich by themselves in 1 sitting. Its huge! Its a monster! Its only $6! I ate half of mine and saved the rest for later. Id consider it a $3 meal.

Dont go looking for a restaurant shop, its the white house with the white picket fence next to the Shell gas station. If you think the outside is small, wait till you walk in. I arrived 3'ish and there were about 10 people in line. If you are claustrophobic, send someone in, its a tight squeeze. Even with 3 people behind the counter, the wait was longer than exepected. My turned arrived and ordered the Lucca Ultimate Club on the sweet roll.

Bread - not the stuff you can find at the market. Probably made at a bakery and brought in the morning. There's no way they make this on the spot, I dont see where they have the room. The sweet roll was moist and fresh.

Toppings - shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, mayo, and their trademark garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is strong but wasnt enough to overwhelm the entire sandwich. Garlic sauce is a good complement to the sandwich and definitely worth the try.

Meat - deli meat. The turkey were big slices as if they were cut directly from the turkey breast. Ham was ok and bacon, well bacon is always good.

When you package the bread, toppings, and meat, you get an excellent sandwich. For $6, its a tough sandwich to beat and gives Darby Dans a run for their money. I dont know what else to say except, bring a large appetite.

Ham sandwich on dutch crunch.

I live in Fremont and I still have to come back every once in a while just to get one of these sandwiches. This is the kind of little jewel you want to share but then they'll be in the line in front of you next time. Great bread, good meat and val

Bologna w/american chs on a soft roll

still a good value @ 5.25 for the bologna sandwich. .50 extra for the cheese. and go to the one in Burlingame three doors down from Lunardis super market. more elbow room than the SSF location.
