I found Roma Italian Deli by accident. I was driving up El Camino Real and made a right turn near downtown San Bruno. I wanted to grab some sort of sliced pizza but would rather find a good deli since they are hard to come by in the peninsula.

Judging from the outside, this deli has probably been around for awhile and im guessing it was taken over by new owners. The menu boasts a number of sandwiches to order from and finally decided on the large Corned Beef sandwich on soft sourdough bread.

At $6.50, this monsterous sandwich can easily feed 2 people. I sat down and took my first bite, first thoughts were, for a soft sourdough bread it was sure chewy. The meat was ok, veggies are fresh, and cheese was good. 10 bites later, my jaw is killing me. I had to stop eating and let my mouth relax. I ended up taking 3/4 of it home to try and finish later.

For the price and for what you get, Roma Italian Deli comes in at a 7. If the bread was softer, I would bump it another 1/2 point or so. Oh yeah, they serve beer :)
