I'm no stranger to Toto's Pizzeria as I've visited Belmont location 1 time and San Bruno 2 times now. Their pizza is solid and consistent. I won't rehash how much I love the pizza as it's one of my favorite pizzas in the area - http://www.jatbar.com/detail.asp?num=601. I honestly think it's one of the best sausage pizzas in the bay area. The only place that can contend the title is Goat Hill Pizza.

If it's that good, why the 8.5 rating? I have a problem with the topping policy. I do not understand why half pepperoni and half sausage gets charge as 2 toppings? It's not like they put double the toppings on 1 side. It's not putting a strain on their insane pizza assembly line. You should see how many pizza makers they have, last I counted was 6.

It's not a money thing, I can give a rat's ass about $1-2 but more of a principle. As of 7/9/06, we have 67 Pizza places listed on jatbar. Most of those places if not all, would be happy to do half and half at no extra charge. You guys remind me of mexican restaurants that try to charge for chips and salsa.....FRICKIN WEAK!

So what does this mean? I will never order a half and half ever again from Toto's Pizzeria. It doesn't mean I won't return because their pizza is excellent. Order a sausage pizza and prepare to be blown away with a 9 rated pizza.

Cheese and pepperoni delivery

May be better in person? Quality for work-lunch delivery is mediocre. Kinda heavy, bready, greasy - neither NY style nor California. Tastes OK, but toppingless cheese is kind of bland.
