New York Pizza is off El Camino Real in San Carlos. I must have seen 4 New York Pizza places with the same name in the bay area and not sure if they are all the same. I was driving home and had the urge for a slice of pizza. With no knowledge of this restaurant, I had no expectations, slices were cheap, and I wanted a thin slice of pizza.

People behind the counter were very nice and informed me my pizza would be ready in a couple of minutes. Normally pizza joints that offer sliced pizza have the pizzas pre-made and thrown into the oven for a minute or two. My slice appeared to be made from scratch. A pepperoni will run you $3.45 and you should see the size of this thing. It's a monster and if you look at picture #6, the slice is hanging off the plate.

crust - thin style crust, didn't crack when folded, sauce and cheese reached to the very end of the crust. Crust didn't taste like other New York slices I've had in the past and probably more on the thicker side towards the rear of the pizza. Average tasting.

sauce - on the sweet side, there was no special herbs that made it stand out from the other pizza joints I've had. Average rating.

cheese - heavy on the cheese, gooey, stringy, mozzarella heaven.

toppings - pepperonis everywhere, very greasy but hey it's pepperoni. Don't faint if you see the grease soak through the paper plate.

The pizza is on par with some of the other pizza joints in the area but New York Pizza is open late, serves large slices for $3, service is great, I would have no issues making a return visit.
