Sunrise Deli was a wonderful lunch experience and already looking forward to coming back. I needed to get out of my house and head up to the city for a late lunch. Sunrise Deli is located on Irving surrounded by chinese restaurants and shops. From the menu, it says they have been around for 21 years which is quite a length of time. Looks like a deli with a counter case filled with middle eastern food, couple of tables, and other sweet delights by the register. I picked up my snapple and sat down while they made my regular falafel. Looks like a family run restaurant and service was excellent. I talked to the people behind the counter 3 separate times and each time being pleasant or greeted with a smile. These guys know who to treat their customers. The falafel sandwich arrived with the full pita bread split in half with each side filled with veggies and falafel saucer looking things (See picture #6). It looked quite appetizing so I took my first chomp. HHHhhmmm....sooo good!! These falafels taste darrnnn fresh and veggies were also good. The only place that I can think of that comes close to this place is Falafel Drive-In in San Jose. I would have a hard decision picking between the both of them. On the way out, I watched the guy make fresh falafels and toss them into the fryer. It was a lovely site, I should have gotten another falafel sandwich to go. Everything about the sandwich and restaurant was superb. From the service to the delicious falafels and delectable baklava, Sunrise Deli left me with a good feeling in my stomach, wallet, and peace of mind.
