We arrived at Sushi Groove South, hungry and eager for some good sushi. The place was very nondescript from the outside. Aside from a little 1 ft sign on the wall, you wouldn't know it to be a sushi place, or anything else other than a warehouse.

Inside, however, you find a completely different atmosphere. Very warm and accomodating with a flair of excitement in the air. Once seated, I ordered all rolls: Kani, Dragon Roll, and California rolls. The prices were above average even for sushi, so my hopes were high.

The sushi arrived and I dug in. The Kani was fresh and quite delicious and very fresh. Impressive, though at over $5 you're paying for it. The Dragon Roll was 8 pieces and equally delicious. I was impressed with the Eel on top, the first time I could tackle the eel and enjoy it immensely. The Dragon Roll was over $10, and was among the best I have had. The California Rolls unfortunately did not appeal to me very much. They tasted a bit dry and bland compared to some powerhouse ones I have had elsewhere.

Wasabi had some good spice to it, and the Ginger (which I never eat) was actually really good. It had a sweet flavor to it, something you have to try here even if you don't like the stuff.

Friends who went here swore that the toilets here were heated. I didn't believe them, so we asked the waiter. Turns out the hotcold faucets here are reversed, thus the water in the toilet is heated. Pretty funny. And makes good dinner conversation.
