After Lucky Fortune, we decided to hit Wirth Bros Pastry Shop down the street. Having lived in the area, I've always passed by this shop but never stopped by. We walked into this quiet pastry shop and browsed the glass counters. Most of the items had saran wrap over the items to preserve the moisture. Probably the most interesting thing I saw was the Ginger Bread Foot. It even had an almond for a toenail. There's nothing like eating a fake foot. Although tempted, I passed and got a coconut macaroon and raspberry butter cookie.

Both cookies were just ok. There wasn't anything too special about them. The coconut macaroon tasted like the ones you get at the mexican bakeries, the super sweet stuff. Nice and chewy but too sweet for me. The raspberry butter cookie was much better and had no problems finishing this off. I don't recall how much they were since I didn't buy them.

I'd be the 1st to admit this review is somewhat half-ass since I only ate 2 cookies but my friend said his key lime pie was the worst thing he'd eaten all weekend. Call it bad timing, call it the coin flip for a return visit.
