RETURN VISIT for Jason! 9/25/2007 - 9 Rating: I know I weaseled my way out of the last review by using haiku. I made a visit today and my gawd, the sourdough bread here is one of the best you can get in the bay area! When you get your sandwich, the bread is still warm. These guys bake their bread daily and will even bust out the ultimate baker's trick and tear bread open with steam rising from the dough. I'm seen it with my own eyes.

I ordered the classic (#5 on menu). Prepared with ham, roast beef, turkey, swiss cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato, and dijon mustard. Deli meat is sliced paper thin and all ingredients are fresh. Bread is by far the best thing on the sandwich. The crust is golden brown and crackles with eat bite.

Easy 9 and already making plans for a return visit.

Pastrami Sandwich

Bread is excellent, warm, lightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The filling is about half the amount of the pictures here but fresh. Line moves fast. prices are now 6.50 per sandwich.
