My photo gallery 		The restaurant sign says Taqueria and that's enough for me to make a visit. I didn't know the name of the place until I say the tiny square on the menu, Ay Caray Taqueria. From my amateur research skills, Ay Caray is considered by some a very bad word/statement. I've been told it translates from 'Sh!t' to 'darn' to 'cr@p'. If anyone knows the real/alternate translation, I'd like to hear your opinions.

Walked to the register and did my taco usual, 3 tacos with 3 different meats. 2 corn tortillas, salsa, cilantro, onions, the usual suspects for the soft taco. All ingredients tasted fresh and for $1.70, it's more expensive than others in the area. There's free chips on the counter but no salsa to be found? What's chips without salsa???

carnitas (image 3) - it was the only taco of the 3 to be topped with salsa fresca. Generous portions of fried pork. Parts were crispy and don't be shy when you see fat. Above average tasting, would order again.

carne asada (image 5) - my least favorite of the 3. meat was dry but covered in grease. Meat was cut small and overcooked. Not sure if I would repeat order.

pollo asado (image 4) - simply awesome. I've been looking for another spot that does great job with pollo asado (grilled chicken). One of my favorite places for pollo asado is Taqueria La Bamba so you'll know where I benchmark from. Ay Caray's Taqueria marinates their chicken and it's apparent in the end result, chicken that's tender with excellent flavor. Kinda on the spicy side but you'll love it.

Ay Caray Taqueria is a no thrills type of taco shop. Decorations are on the boring side but just remind yourself you come here for the food. 3 taco meal might be enough for 1 sitting but I found myself getting hungry 2 hours later. If you're a big fan of pollo asado, the taco is worth visiting alone just for that item.
