7:11PM tonight at Pancho Villa Taqueria was bustling indeed. There were nearly 15 people in front of me but the line moved very swiftly. If its your first time visiting, the menu can look very intimidating..omg you can build a different burrito for each day of the year. I've been to this place probably 5 times and everytime I'm confused on what I want to get. Pancho Villa also has a salsa bar and juice bar. I have yet to try the juice bar but numerous banners on the wall boasting awards for their fruit concoctions.

I decided on the Steak Fajita burrito with refried beans. The burrito was ok. I envisioned grilled steak with bell peppers and onions. My dreams were shattered upon looking at my steak with no grill marks and miniscule portions of meat. The tortilla, rice, and beans were good. Along with order is an ample amount of chips.

Although my burrito tonight was literally a 7.5, I know I've had burritos near the 9 range and have no problems recommending this place to anyone. I'm positive there's something you'll find on the menu with the selection they present.

RETURN VISIT for Jason! 5/26/2005 - 9 Rating: After 15+ visits later to Pancho Villa Taqueria, Id say this is another favorite taqueria place for me. Dont let the long lines scare you as the lines move fast. Behind the glass counter is 50 or so trays of meats, beans, veggies, etc. You can literally make 100s of different burritos.

For me, my usuals are

- pollo asado
- carne asada

and my new favorite burrito is steak and prawn. Its soooo damm good, you have to get it. Its a little expensive at $10 but definitely worth a try.

Pancho Villa Taqueria is one of the first taquerias I hit when I moved here to the bay area 3 ½ years ago. To this day I go there at least 2 twice a month. My favorite item of theirs is the Super Chicken Chile Verde Burrito with black beans. I usually split one with my wife because of the sheer size of it. Another thing I get from time to time is their fish tacos. These guys are soooo tasty. You will probably need 2 to fill you up if not 3. They also have a great salsa bar with fresh lime and cilantro. I think there salsa get my vote for the best in the bay area (Just my opinion on that). The place can get really busy but they move you through the line pretty quickly. Every order comes with a small sack of chips which are always fresh tasting. Pancho Villa Taqueria has a very healthy taste to its menu. Give this place a try you might make it one of you favorites too : ) 9.5

Ah yes, Pancho Villa. This place is the most popular of taquerias on B street. Before they came along and took the business from 3 amigos, it was a toss up between 3 amigos and la cumbre.
Pancho Villas is a great taqueria that offers fresh and lean meats and somewhat of a healthier fare than the normal taqueria. They also have an abundance of fruit smoothies. That being said, I opt for the most unhealthy item on the menu 'super nachos'.
Chicken is still lean and cheese is good, spicy pico de gallo adds to the flavor. Overall its a great selection, however I must ding the establishment for losing its taqueria appeal by making its food seem more like its from a place like La salsa. They should offer some more authentic cuisine.
