Charming deli and donut shop with bargain $3 bagel and croissant sandwiches

My photo gallery 		This is my second visit to Bernal Bagels and Donuts in the last month. I didnt have my camera the 1st time and was impressed with the sandwich and more importantly the price. For $3, you can choose from a dozen type of bagel, croissant, or regular bread sandwiches. They even throw in a donut hole for dessert. Sandwiches are very simple and even on the small side. There's nothing exotic about what they serve but with meals are easy on the stomach and wallet, return visits are easy to do.

For lunch I went with the ham and egg croissant sandwich. I didnt get a chance to watch them make my sandwich but I suspect they nuked my egg. The croissant was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tiny layer of mayo, scrambled egg, ham, and white cheddar. Overall it was a decent sandwich but if you're looking for a portion size to induce the lunch coma, Bernal Bagels and Donuts is geared towards the lighter lunch. I was a little hungry on my last visit so I made sure to get a cup of fresh fruit. I walked out full and it only cost me $5.

Bernal Bagels and Donuts is nicely decorated with custom wall tiles and ceiling painted like the sky. Its little touches like this that make for an enjoyable 30 minute lunch. Im not much of a coffee or tea drinker but there are plenty of options for the caffeine market. Visit Bernal Bagels and Donuts for a casual and bargain lunch.
