Im going to be honest and say the only reason we stopped at Fisherman's House was Real Ice Cream behind it. Terry and I figured, after lunch, we could head out for dessert afterwards. It was a nice day outside so we decided to sit outside on the picnic tables. I was stoked to be eating bbq fish but when we got the menus, the fishes were flat grilled, steamed, or deep fried. Whats even more intriguing was the types of fishes they were cooking up. I havent heard of a lot of these fishes before and went with the oddest name - beltfish. I had it grilled and the suspense was killing me on what type of fish was going to appear on my plate.

You would think that Terry would learn some Korean letters by now. I find it funny as hell once he finds out we are eating korean food. They started bringing out the pickled veggies, I could he this big sigh when the dish of little dried fishies arrived.

I was bit surprised when my fish landed in front of me. It was 4 pieces of fried fished with bones and all. Looks like Im eating old school asian style fish. I was hoping it would have been filleted so I wouldnt have to use my hands. I bite into it and it was gamey, not the bad stuff but more of what this type of fish taste like. The closest example is mackerel. Could I be eating bait fish? (yes, I looked it up on google and apparently the beltfish is an excellent bait to use for the other fishies) I put lemon and spicy sauce to mask the taste. It wasnt sitting to well with my taste but I powered through 3 pieces of it. Im proud of that :)

Although the dish I ordered wasnt to my liking, I think its a call of personal taste. If you are into this type of fish, Im sure you will be a big fan. It tasted fresh and was not overcooked.

If you want to try different types of fish, Fisherman's House has a broad variety of fish and can be cooked either by steamed, grilled (flat), or deep fried.

The place looked so enticing from the outside. Fisherman House brought to my mind visions of Pier 39 Crab House complete with fresh seafood and shrimp shrimp, shrimp. haha. I got inside and was let down immediately. A Korean restaurant!

Well I was a good sport about it and ordered the spicy crab soup. I didn't realize I had to go up and order at the register so waited around awhile for the waitress. Once I figured it out, it was quick and easy to order. The food arrived in average time and immediately I could tell this was a restaurant that the Korean grandparents would enjoy, not much of a non-korean-food-enthusiast place. Food was prepared tradionally and, while tasty in its own right I'm sure, just was not my thing at all. I took the whole quarters of crab out (of which they supplied a generous amount) and ate the tofu soup by itself. The soup itself was actually decent. Not the best I've had, but passable. I ate most of it.

The place is clean, the waitstaff friendly and very courteous, I can't knock them too much - its just not my thing. If you are the type of person who brings their fish and rice to work and puts it in the microwave so the smell wafts down the hallways stifling the breathing of everyone on the floor then I think you will really appreciate their selection here. ;) Just kidding!

It's Closed, but "Tutti" which replaces it is pretty good. It's a bit confused about what it wants to be, but it also had a few Korean dishes I'd never had before.
