My photo gallery 		I was roaming the streets of San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara and accidently ran into Golden Mushroom Pizzeria. Dont let the boring sign scare you away, it says Pizza and Pasta, almost like a chainlike greeting. The big thing that caught my eye was the $2.95 spaghetti and meatball special.......now that is super cheap. Only a couple of meals come to mind that competes in that realm of bargain bites, taco bell, sliced pizza, and vietnamese sandwiches.

Upon walking in, Golden Mushroom Pizzeria isnt exactly what i was expecting. Did I walk through the right door? It looks like a towny bar...seriously. They had baseball jerseys with logos that date back to the 70s or 80s?

To be fair, my rating should reflect the special and not the pizza. I didnt see the pizza or smell any pizza as everyone else in the place got the plate of spaghetti.

I shouldnt complain too much about $3 but this is something you can make at home. The noodles were way overdone and had no texture or bite to them, almost if they boiled the spaghetti for 30 minutes. The sauce was comparable to glass jar sauce with little seasonings. Along with the pasta was 2 small pieces of garlic bread.

Well, for $3, its a tough deal to beat. Dont go expecting a gourmet italian dish but more like a home cooked on the run need something to eat in 15 minutes type of meal. Golden Mushroom Pizzeria also have burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and salads.

“I think I went to this place as a kid after a dad softball game or something now 31 years later I don't think anything has changed to the decor in this dark hole. On the plus side the pizza is solid for late nite delivery after too many beers.”
