I used to eat here when it was Pizza and Pipes. I'd come here during lunch and order their lunch special. You can get a drink, salad, and mini-pizza in the $7 range. The salad was your typical lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots. Kinda boring and needs an overhaul of sorts. For starters, dump the iceberg lettuce and graduate to various lettuce varieties. What about an open salad bar? I'd pay an extra $1-2 for that option. Just a thought.

My mini-pizza was the classic combination. It has just about everything on there. Pizza Party is extremely generous when it comes to toppings. The linguica was the killer topping that made the pizza. They piled so much on there it was 40% topping, 10% cheese, 5% sauce, and 45% dough. Ingredients fresh and kinda wished they put more tomato sauce. The crust can be described as medium thickness. Since I had a lot of toppings, the crust didn't exactly hold firm in the center. Terry had less toppings and his crust held through without flopping over.

Pizza Party is 2x better than the chain pizza places in the area. If you don't believe me, Pizza Party is so confident you'll love their pizza

1. if you don't like it, it's free

2. if you don't like a pizza from a competitor, bring it in and they will replace it for free.

I secretly wanted to hate their pizza to score a free one but what can I say, I like Pizza Party. Just stop by once and check out all their specials. It only takes 1 visit and you'll be hooked.

I was a little apprehensive about going to this place during lunch. I had never been to Pizza and Pipes, and 2 grown men going into a place called Pizza Party didn't seem right at all. Sure, I wouldn't hesitate if I had the kids with me, but oh well - its for Jatbar.

We enter and the place is dead empty. Maybe 1 or 2 other patrons. The menu looked extensive, but otherwise just seemed like your standard northern california pizza place. They have some special pizzas, which sounded unique, like the indian pizza or the california veggie, etc. They also have a 20' gut buster for $30 that I certainly wouldn't mind trying. :)

Anyway, I decided to go with the lunch special. Drink, salad, and personal pizza for about $6.50. Price didn't seem bad for all the food. I settled on the california fresh pizza with the wheat dough.

Salad was brought to the table with the drink. Sadly this place does not let you have free reign over the soda machine. But I guess if you are catering to kids running around, that might not be the best idea.

Pizza took awhile since it was made after I ordered obviously - but the wait was not long. And did it look good. It was your standard cheese pizza topped with tomatoes and garlic, with a stream of pesto swirled on top. You can tell these guys have been in business awhile as they brought it to your table hot, but not burn your mouth off hot. Perfect.

The bread was Gooood. Ingredients were fresh and tasty overall. I found it to be a good combination and definitely in the gourmet realm that they are claiming. One of the better pizza joints closeby to work, I look forward to returning and trying some more.

I was not very impressed with the salad, so next time I will skip that.
