Woooo....weee...when we opened the door to London Fish and Chips, it was quite the smelly surprise. It was a raw mix of stinky fish and a cherry scented air refreshner. Inside the restaurant resembles an old style pub with furniture and a tv that belonged in the 70s. Its like they closed this restaurant down for 30 years and reopened it today. I wanted to walk out but felt it was our duty to take one for jatbar.

I reluctantly ordered 2 piece fish and chips and waited patiently near the closed door. Just looking at Terry I knew he was thinking this place smelled bad. I needed to do something, so I decided to go outside and take a picture, but I would leave the front door open. We needed to help this restaurant and air it out. It worked and we were back in business.

Enough about my bitchin...what about the fish...welll

fish - good portions. probably cod. had no fishy taste or slime. Will fulfill most fish and chip urges

batter - pretty good, could have been crunchier. Average oily factor, its deep fried so your always going to be swimming in oil.

Saratoga is quite the drive from where we work but if I was in the area, I would stop by for some fish and chips. My recommendation for London Fish and Chips, leave the front door open to improve ventilation.

I drove by today and noticed London Fish and Chips no longer exists. It looks like is has been replaced by a Italian restaurant.

It was a bit of a jaunt out to London Fish and Chips but its for Jatbar. We get in and I was ready to turn around and leave. It smelled like a truck stop restroom. Once we opened the door and let the air flow through, it was much better. It also helped once he fired up the frying vat.

I ordered the 2 fish pieces and the eggroll. The fish was quite delicious. Thick and juicy. Maybe a bit runny (water) but decent enough. Their tartar sauce was subpar. The eggroll had some pork in it or something. I took a bite just to try it (tasted stale) so I wouldn't recommend getting the eggroll.

All in all, this place is a dive type of place but the fish is not bad. I would go back if I was in the neighborhood.
