Today was Valentines days and I was hoping to find some burrito lovin at the Burrito Factory. My jokes are bad but hopefully my taste is better :) We drove around like usual wandering the mean streets of Cupertino in search of some restaurant to feed our hunger. We found a little shopping center and saw Burrito Factory. I think we were sold on the name.

The menu looked legit and today they were having a special on a barbecoa plate. I cant say Ive had barbecoa before so I ventured out on a slow cooked barbq beef dish.

5 mins later, they deliver this enormous plate of beef, rice, beans, and tortillas (picture 6).

rice - ehhh...it didnt hit the spot. I found it be lacking in the taste department but it was moist.

beans - refried beans didnt melt in my mouth. ehhh...it was barely passing

beef - They had enough meat on this plate to feed a small family of 4. The beef was shredded finely and had some seasoning to it but nothing memorable. I think they need to concentrate on quality instead of quantity. Now the thing that bothered me were the bits of artery or stomach lining scattered thoughout the plate. Who knows what the heck these unidentified pieces were but its not appealing to the eyes.

tortillas - nothing too special, didnt taste like a thin pancake...sigh...

I thought the service was great and people were extremely nice but the food did not agree with me. Maybe it was a bad dish? or an off day, but based on my order, I was not a happy camper. Sorry...no lovin here.

Found burrito factory out of the blue just driving around. With 3 or 4 locations in the bay area I had my hopes high for some good burrito eats.

I went with the Super Vegetarian burrito off of their Lite Menu. It was a pretty good deal at $4.00 as it was large. It also included chips and salsa.

I found the tortilla to be straight from the grocery store and didn't seem to be steamed. Just out of the bag and onto the burrito. It was ok, but didn't seem special in any way for me. The rice and beans were strictly by the numbers. Rice tasted bland, beans were just alright. The gauc and sour cream were the highlights but tasted just normal compared to other burrito places. The cheese was practically non-existent. Overall I ate the entire thing, but I found myself not very satisfied at the end of my meal.

I tried this place out after a friend was ranting and raving about how this was the best burrito in South bay. I stopped by and got my usual, super burrito - carne asada. I wasn't very impressed, the meat was tough and stringy to me. I must mention that I'm very sensitive about my meat, and I can't swallow meat that is overcooked, or tough and stringy. I usually eat my meat bloody rare, or cooked in a pot for a long long time.

Anyways, the burrito was big, but I wasn't impressed. I didn't find the burrito very satisfying as I was having trouble swallowing the thing. The meat wasn't very tender, and tasted like it sat on the grill until someone ordered it. I probably wouldn't come back here because of the way the meat is prepared.

I used to be a regular of this place when my office was across the street. Carnitas is definitely the meat of choice here as the carne asada is too dry and chicken is just bland.

No frills mexican food and 3 for $1 cheurros.

I usually order the chimichanga platter or 3 soft tacos. There's nothing special about this place, but great service, simple no frills food, and free chips and salsa (I noticed many places started to charge for this)

Other redeeming factors include jarritos in the beverage fridge along with a few beers and sangria. Pair the formentioned cheurros with their mexican coffee (or if starbucks has chantico) and you have either a very unhealthy (read: GOOD) breakfast or an afternoon sugar rush.

They also have a few good breakfasts as well, huevos rancheros comes to mind.
