Giovanni's Pizzeria is a hotspot during lunchtime. This place was completely packed with customers and had me wondering if the food was that good. Although the menu has a selection of pasta dishes, Im visiting strictly for the NY slice pizza. I wasnt sure how big the slices were so the waiter suggested 2 slices.

pepperoni - plenty of pepperonis for every bite. Its good but I like pizza places that slighty burn the pepperonis, almost they are finishing the pizza off with a broil

crust - NY thin, dough was cooked thoroughly, crust didnt crack down the middle and didnt hold firm towards the center. had some bubbles in the crust. I ate the entire crust which is always a good sign for my pizza eating habits.

cheese - layers upon layers of cheese. cheeselovers will enjoy

sauce - tangy with seasonings were light

Each slice was about $3 and quite the deal. 2 slices is overkill and one should do the job. I know it was extremely busy but our waiter totally forgot about us. Waters were not refilled and I dont recall seeing our waiter after we ordered. Service was disappointing but food was good. For a NY slice, Giovanni's Pizzeria hits the spot but be prepared to battle the lunch crowd.

Giovanni's Rustica & Weight Watchers

Rustica = chicken + garlic + tomatoes + basil, was very yummy, would definitely reorder. The weight watchers was a bit bland for my taste, probably because they went light on the mozarella. Order the rustica!

Pizza, baked ziti, italian sub

I'm from the East Coast and I can definitely say this is the best quality authentic NY-style pizza in the Bay Area. All their dishes are great too. From pasta to subs, you cannot go wrong. Everything is fresh and served piping hot. My fav place!

Cheese Slice

Very good, but go during lunch. The pizza chef during lunch knows what he's doing, I've had lesser quality here at other times. As a note, I am a bit of a NY style guru and this is probably close to the best in the bay area - better than Arinell, e
