After my lunch at Taqueria Latina, I headed next door to Gourmet Ice Cream. It's a little ice cream shop with 16 or so flavors from Cascade Glacier made from the Oregon Ice Cream. It's my 1st time trying this brand so I have no idea what to expect. The shop is tiny with 3 tables, a freezer case, and shelves of candy. Along the wall is a menu of sandwiches at $4-5 each but couldn't stomach another meal.

Ordering can be difficult if you don't know spanish. Don't worry though, the lady is very nice and all it takes is to point to a flavor and name the size. A small scoop costs $1.90 in a regular cone and if you splurge an extra 50 cents, you can get a large waffle cone. Scooping size is adequate and if you want to get more value for the money, go for the waffle cone. The ice cream is very creamy and fresh tasting.

On my 1st visit, I went with Blueberry Cheesecake and on the 2nd visit I ordered the almond coffee fudge. The blueberry cheesecake had chucks of disturbingly tasty cheesecake pieces while the almond coffee fudge had swirls of dark fudge. Both scoops were very good but would have to hand the blueberry flavor the higher score between the 2. I made two visits in one week, what can I say, I like Gourmet Ice Cream.
