I find this review tough to write since I spent my early years in the bay area visiting the San Francisco location. I can't even count how many times I'd walk 15 blocks just to get a slice of pizza or the drunken nights. I can't rate this place with a clean conscience since I share so many good experiences.

If you want to do Nizarios proper, order a whole pizza for
dine-in. Don't order for delivery, eat it at the restaurant. You have to experience the crust while it's hot and it's important because the texture of the bread changes 10 minutes out of the oven. You have to eat it PIPING HOT. I love the crust! I order the same thing every time, pepperoni and nothing else. It's one of the few pizza places where they will cook the pepperonis crispy.

Nizario's Pizza isn't fancy pizza so don't even attempt to compare it to Amici's or brick oven style pizzas. My boss swears by Amici's and I'll agree to an extent that they have decent pizza but it's too frickin expensive. Nizarios blows Amici's when it comes to value pizza and their crust is more memorable than Amici's. When it comes down to visiting either, regardless of money, you'd catch me at Nizarios 7 out of 10 times.

Although I eat at Nizarios in Sunnyvale during the day time, and sure it's not the atmosphere as the San Francisco location, it's still the same good pizza I remember when I first moved to bay area.

Pizza Pep & Pineapple

Great crust if you like it a bit on the thick side with a dash of doughy :) I would have liked to see a different mix of cheese, but it was fine how it was...
