I didnt get to try the sandwiches at Pho Quyen 2 but the prices are rock bottom. They were like $2.25 for a full sandwich! Filled with pork, chicken, or whatever. The next visit I will have to get one.

I got the com dia (rice dish) with pork. Stupid me, I forgot to take pictures so just imagine a big plate overflowing with rice, salad, and a mound of marinated pork. The pork had a sweet marinade and cut into small thin strips. I bet they put this pork in the sandwiches and it would be awesome. I would gauge they give you 2 full cups of rice.

If you are looking for a no thrills, super cheap food without loss of flavor, Pho Quyen 2 comes highly recommended. They are fast and their selection of sandwiches for $2-3 is a definite winner.

Pho Quyen 2 was a wishlist request we needed to fulfill and I was all too happy to review it. Its hard for me to find a bad bowl of Pho. The place was clean, perhaps a bit too clean as the smell of cleaning detergent hung heavy in the air.

I ordered a glass of Thai Tea. It was about average. Not mind blowing but exactly what I was expecting.

For my meal I went with the well done brisket but picked nearly all of the meat out of it. The little bit of meat i did try was average and didn't impress me much. The broth was delicious and the high point of the bowl and the noodles were soft and delicate. I think on a cold day this bowl of Pho would be perfect. Or a day when you feel you are coming down with a cold. Its not the best bowl of Pho in my book, but I've had quite a few worse bowls. I don't think you can go wrong at Pho Quyen.

This place has pretty good pho and bun, but I usually come here for the banh mi, which are bigger, cheaper and have better ingredients than Lee's. They use french rolls with a thin crisp crust but soft inside, and the daikon/carrots/parsley/peppers etc. were fresh and snappy. I had:

Fried egg - perfect if you're an egg lover and/or want a lighter sandwich. It's just roll + fixings + 2 medium fried eggs, a simple but enjoyable pleasure.

Grilled pork - this place does the best grilled pork of any viet place I've been to. The slices are juicy, flavorful, and totally addictive. If you come here, make sure you try this either in bun, rice plate or banh mi, you won't be disappointed.

The sandwiches were $2.50 each and two were plenty enough to fill me up. I'll definitely return soon to try some other items.

Did you eat here today?

We ate here today and didn't see any hair or roaches. Everything looked clear.

This has been my fave pho place for a couple years-seriously I'd eat here 3-4 times a week. Then... came the bugs.. and the hair. Bugs all over the veggies, strands of dark hair. The breaking point was a cockroach crawling on the table.
