Another North Oaks Plaza restaurant visit to Pho Vy. This is our 3rd restaurant in the last 2 weeks for this wonderful shopping center. Our luck has been good so far and hopefully keep it up. We choose Pho Vy since just for the heck of it. As you can see in picture 3, this place was nearly to capacity. Normally a good sign for lunch but even a better sign when the host seats you down quickly with waters immediately dropped off.

I went with my normal pho dish, rare steak and brisket (if you're hungry go for the large bowls, they are HUGE). Just like the speedy service seating, the pho was brought out less than 5 minutes later. Large servings, quick service, wallet friendly prices, very jatbar friendly.

The broth had a slight oil slick with no too many green floaties. White onions strips hover near the rim and bunches of rare steak slowly cooking. Brisket had bit of fat that I removed from the bowl and placed to the side. The big bowl was served very hot and fragrance of the broth just made my mouth water. Plenty of meat in every spoonful and I want to say the noodle portion was the standard ball of yarn. I normally drink a couple of scoops of broth to get a sampling of sorts then I slowly work in the sriracha. Broth was to my liking and a squirt or two of red sauce, we're good to go.

Noise levels at Pho Vy were on the loud side. Atmosphere isn't exactly the business type of meeting place. Pho Vy serves a simple meal that is reasonably priced with large portions to induce a lunch coma. Food taste authentic and it's an easy return visit for me.

I really enjoyed this place. Well, the place itself wasn't that special. Your standard looking Pho house with average cleanliness, decent-sized menu, and of course this one was packed.

On the window outside I saw a sign asking patrons to try the sweet and sour seafood pho. I must admit it sounded interested, and I saw a few other customers trying it so gave it a shot.

The food arrived quickly and it looked quite tasty. I knew it would be good immediately. It was a bit spicy but not overly so (the red is actually tomato). It also had chunks of pineapple in there providing the sweet and sour flavoring. The seafood consisted of delicious big chunks of salmon, calamari, and shrimp. I ordered the small and it did me fine. The bowl was pretty good sized. The larges were out of control.

Noodles were a bit thicker than usual, quite tasty and filling. Broth was excellent in its uniqueness. I would not hesitate to order this dish again. The small was priced at $7 which seemed pretty pricey for a Vietnamese restaurant. But I feel its worth it.
