A wishlist request sent us back to Union City for a weekend thai excursion. It was obvious when we entered the cramped place and saw all of the folks coming in throughout our visit, that they do a lot of takeout business. Still, the interior is quite nice and the service very responsive.

We were shown a table and looked over the menu. Most of the standards were here. The wishlist requester suggested we order the beef musamen, thai iced tea, basically anything was supposed to be good.

We ordered a wide swath of items to try it out. For appetizer we had the shrimp toast, I got the thai iced tea to drink, we always order crab fried rice. I got the yellow curry (veggie style) and the wife got the beef musamen.

Here's the rundown.

The food overall was not bad, in some cases pretty good.

The thai iced tea was your standard.
The shrimp toast was very good. A bit greasy (but not overly so) and had a lot of shrimp in it. Kids loved this too.
Crab fried rice was good, but the crab itself was not very flavorful.
Yellow curry was good, lots of veggies, but I asked for Thai Spicy (level 10 on their scale) and it wasn't spicy at all- which was a big letdown).
My wife liked the beef musamen but there were too many veggies, not enough beef for her.

Overall, a good thai destination for the area. They do a lot of solid items here, and like the wishlister mentioned, its hard to go wrong on the menu. Wait staff is VERY nice and friendly, and asked us how we liked the meal afterwards, etc. Very good customer service. If in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to return. Good stuff.
