Troubadour and Astro burger is the best late night combo

My photo gallery 		Astro Burgers is a guarenteed stop after a concert at the Troubadour in Santa Monica. Its open late and the prices are just about right. Portions are huge and food is exceptional. Ive have never gotten anything but the double cheeseburgers but from what Ive seen, they have quite the selection of sandwiches and vegetarian dishes (Melrose location). I know Im suppose to try new things but I cant deviate from my regular order of the double cheeseburger with onion rings.

Onion rings - oh sooo good and they give you a lot of it. Your arteries will be screaming the morning after.

Fries - monster portions of shoestring, cripsy and perfect

burger - its not lean, its not crumbly, its not gourmet, its all the wrong things but it taste magnificent. If you have read my other reviews, Astro Burger contradicts in what I look for in a burger. I dont know how to explain it but its truly a magical event for your taste buds and stomach. 2 thick patties cooked over an open flame with thick slices of cheese that melt into a glob of fat and meat.....just thinking about is making my mouth water. The patties are juicy and full of the splendid burnt flavor.

Ive been going to Astro Burgers for years and never been let down. I cant stress how good this place is and always get teary eyed just thinking about this place (I live in the bay area...350+ miles away and we have nothing like this up north). Whenever Im down in LA, I make the effort to make a visit. Try visiting late at night as you get all sorts of interesting people to watch. Please open an Astro Burger in the Bay Area!
